Risk Disclosure
Arc Climate parametric insurance policies are blockchain-based financial instruments settled in USDC. Payouts are dependent on oracle data accuracy and smart contract execution. This product is currently in beta and operates on Arc Network. Policies do not constitute regulated insurance under any jurisdiction. Please review all parameters carefully before purchasing. Past performance of oracle systems does not guarantee future accuracy.

Common questions

How is my payout calculated?
Payout = (premium − 7% fee) × 1.9× multiplier. For a 10 USDC premium: 9.30 USDC net × 1.9 = 17.67 USDC. This formula is hardcoded in the smart contract and cannot be changed.
When can I claim?
Only after your policy expires (7, 10, or 30 days). If the weather condition triggered during that period, the Claim button appears automatically. Trigger recording starts 2 hours after purchase.
Where does weather data come from?
Data is sourced from Open-Meteo and written on-chain every 10 minutes by the Arc Oracle contract. All updates are timestamped and publicly verifiable on Arc Network.
What are the threshold margin rules?
Your threshold must differ from current conditions at purchase: Frost/Heat ±3°C · Rain/Drought ±2mm · High Wind +5 km/h. This prevents policies from triggering immediately.
Are there payout limits?
Yes — maximum 60 USDC per rolling 7-day period per wallet, and a 48-hour cooldown between purchases. Premium range is 5–20 USDC per policy.
Which wallets are supported?
MetaMask, OKX Wallet, Rainbow, and Coinbase Wallet. You need testnet USDC on Arc Network. The network is added automatically on first connect.
What network does this run on?
Arc Network Testnet — Chain ID 5042002. All transactions are verifiable at testnet.arcscan.app. This is a testnet product running with testnet USDC.
